# How to do hosting migration?

I currently have a Nakama instance running on a cheap VPS. However, I want to migrate to better ones(digitalocean/linode). But, I can’t figure out to how to migrate all the user data (I am using Nakama with tyepscript and postgres) to new vps. I tried to look on documentation but I couldn’t find it. Any advice, suggestions, or step-by-step instructions on how to accomplish this migration would be highly appreciated. Also, are there any specific considerations I should be aware of.

Hi @mdee5,
We are unable to provide instructions for migrating your Nakama instance between third-party hosts such as Digital Ocean or Linode. I would advise you to take a dump of the Nakama Postgres database and consult with your new provider on how to import this data.
