# Error : npm i 'https://github.com/heroiclabs/nakama-common'

After following steps in [TypeScript Runtime - Heroic Labs Documentation](https://heroiclabs.com/docs/nakama/server-framework/typescript-runtime/#develop-code)  
when I run the npm i ‘[GitHub - heroiclabs/nakama-common: The runtime framework for Nakama server.](https://github.com/heroiclabs/nakama-common)’  
I got this error:  
C:\Users\Prodify\nkm-projects\>npm install ‘[GitHub - heroiclabs/nakama-common: The runtime framework for Nakama server.](https://github.com/heroiclabs/nakama-common)’  
npm error code ENOENT  
npm error syscall open  
npm error path C:\Users\Prodify\nkm-projects'https:\github.com\heroiclabs\nakama-common’\package.json  
npm error errno -4058  
npm error enoent Could not read package.json: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open ‘C:\Users\Prodify\nkm-projects'https:\github.com\heroiclabs\nakama-common’\package.json’  
npm error enoent This is related to npm not being able to find a file.  
npm error enoent

npm error A complete log of this run can be found in: C:\Users\Prodify\AppData\Local\npm-cache\_logs\2024-07-09T05\_39\_48\_279Z-debug-0.log  
I tried everything I could but I cannot find the solution I hope you can help me guys.

Hello @ProJason,

It looks like you either haven’t created the `package.json` file or you’re in the wrong folder.

I actually fix this by using shell command instead of cmd.

**Remove the quotes** 👍 from the gtihub link

```auto
npm i https://github.com/heroiclabs/nakama-common

```
